Anonymous asked: YASS that is fantastic haha. Winston obviously became best friends with Alex on that tour

HAHA ohhhh yeah. I met Alex too while I was on the train! So gentle and sweet. It was like meeting a hippie Jesus.

Anonymous asked: What did the smell like omg. Extremely jealous, I wanted to go to a Railroad Revival Tour show sooo bad

OMG this is my favorite ask ever. Ben smelled like you would expect because he had literally just performed onstage and he was still sweating. Marcus and Ted smelled like cigarettes (but still clean) because they were smoking when I met them. Winston smelled like pot, haha.

ibelieveingraceandchoice19 asked: OMG, you got to me all of them!! that is so amazing. I've met Ben but not the others. Can you tell me about it? I love to hear fan stories!

Haha I’d love to! As a background: I had drawn a portraits of each member for a school project, and brought along a copy of each to the concert with a note on the back.

I saw them in Marfa on the 2011 Railroad Revival Tour. After they performed, I ended up meeting Ben around the outskirts of the crowd! He was super sweet, as I bet he was to you! I ended up giving him all of the drawings and told him to give them to the rest of the band if he had a chance because I wasn’t sure if I would meet them!

So later, my dad and I drove out to where the train was stationed in hopes of watching it pull out and head to Austin. We were standing right outside when Marcus came off the train to smoke a cigarette. I like flipped out and was too in shock to speak up, so my dad ended up walking over to him and asked him to get a picture with me. When I introduced myself, Marcus was like “NAN! You’re the one that drew those portraits! Those were so beautiful. I ended up giving mine to my girlfriend {WHO WAS CAREY BTW} and she loved it so much.” So yeah, I was dead. Marcus and I talked for a few minutes, got a picture, and then he went back on the train. So genuine, so kind, so MARCUS! I love him.

After Marcus left, the train conductor came up to us and invited us on the train (!!!) with him, so that if I saw Ted or Winston I could get a picture with them! So we ended up on the train for about 15 minutes. I ran into Winston and got a picture with him {Pretty sure he was stoned so he didn’t say much} and then we got to meet Ted! He recognized my name when I introduced myself, and ended up having my portrait in his pocket! He was a sweetheart. So after I got a picture with him, we were walking towards to door when Marcus walked by. Again, he was the sweetest thing! He said, “Oh hi Nan! Were you able to find everyone? I can go get them if you need me to.” Seriously such a gentleman.

Anyway, after we said bye to Marcus we got off the train and that was it! It was seriously the greatest day of my life. Sometimes I look back on it and can’t believe it actually happened, haha. I’d love to know how you met Ben!!

Can’t believe it’s been three years since my first Mumford gig/meeting them! Times flies!

I DON’T THINK IT’S LITERALLY POSSIBLE FOR ME TO LIKE OR FAV OR UPVOTE THIS ENOUGH

I would like to see more of these.

Is this not a thing in America?
It’s a thing all over here in Australia. You get a wrist band. Means you can buy no booze, but you get free soft drink.

this is a thing in canada too like all you gotta do is say that youre driving

Free….pop….in the US for….DD’s? Free…anything to encourage safe behaviours?
That’s too much logic for this country. Sounds like Socialist propaganda
